Privacy policy

This policy covers Travel Right Now (travelrightnow.app and the server at mcp.travelrightnow.app), run by The Travel Trio. It explains what happens to information when an AI assistant uses Travel Right Now, or when you visit this site.

What we collect

Travel Right Now has no accounts or sign-in, and it doesn't ask for your name, email or any other personal details. When an AI assistant uses it, the server receives only what the assistant sends for that request:

The tool used, such as Get current conditions or Find tours.
The details of the request: the destination, and where given, a topic, trip dates, interests, or an activity.
The assistant's short name (for example, claude), which the assistant provides when it connects.

We don't receive your conversation with the assistant, only these request details. Please don't include personal information in requests; the tools don't need it.

Like any website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

To answer the request.
To understand which destinations and topics people ask about, so we can improve coverage.
To see which assistant a booking came from. Booking links carry a tracking code with the assistant's short name and the destination, never anything about you.

Who we share it with

Viator: if tour search is used, the activity and destination are sent to Viator's search to find matching tours.
Booking sites: if you open a booking link, you leave Travel Right Now, and that site's own privacy policy applies.
Cloudflare: our hosting provider, which runs the server and this site.

We don't sell information, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Request logs are kept for no more than 30 days, then deleted. We may keep totals, such as how many requests a destination received, which contain no request details.

This website

We don't set cookies, and we don't use analytics or advertising trackers on this site. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect it. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.

Children

Travel Right Now is meant for adults planning travel and isn't directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
